Tumor within the substance of the brain or spinal cord made up of astrocytes.
Notes:
  1. Astrocytomas are classified from Grade I (least aggressive) to Grade IV (most aggressive).
  2. This type of tumor does not usually spread outside the brain and spinal cord and it does not usually affect other organs.
