Freund’s adjuvant

Complete Freund’s adjuvant is an emulsion of aqueous antigen in mineral oil that contains heat-killed Mycobacteria.
Notes:
  1. Incomplete Freund’s adjuvant lacks the Mycobacteria.
  2. It can cause painful local inflammation and should be used with care.
