Latex, the dispersed phase of which is obtained from various plants.
Notes:
  1. The dispersed phase is often polyisoprene (2-methyl-1,3-butadiene).
Example: Latex from the rubber tree, Hevea brasiliensis.
  2. Many plants when wounded produce a milky, sticky sap that is referred to as a latex.
