Pielou’s J

Measure of species evenness for a sample from a community. It is calculated from the following equation: \[{\rm{Pielouߴs}}\ J = \frac{H'}{\log S}\] where \(H'\) is the Shannon–Wiener diversity measure and \(S\) is the average species richness.
