Coefficient in front of the exponential factor expressing the empirical temperature dependence of the rate coefficient, \(k\), on temperature, \(T\), \(k=A\ \exp (- E_{\rm{a}}/R\ T)\), where \(E_{\rm{a}}\) is the activation energy.
