A state of reduced visibility (\(1{-}2\ \rm{km}\)) resulting from the increased light scatter due to the presence of fine dust or aerosol particles ($\ce{H2SO4}$, $\ce{NH4HSO4}$, products of the ozone-terpene reactions, etc.).
