  1. Relationship between two preparations of the same drug in the same dosage form that have a similar bioavailability.
  2. Dosage forms containing the same drug are said to be bioequivalent if they do not differ significantly in the bioavailability (e.g., AUC, \(c_{\rm{max}}\), \(t_{\rm{max}}\)) of the active constituent/ingredient, when administered in the same dose under similar experimental conditions.
